Come one, come all! Bring your lunch and have fun making a themed craft.  This is what we call "indoor recess!"  Collaborating with Smithsonian Libraries, and in conjunction with the exhibition, A Right to the City, indoor recess is a lunchtime arts and crafts hour for adults where participants make an art takeaway that centers on the theme of "community."

The workshop will be led by Smithsonian Libraries education specialist Sara Cardello.  Smithsonian LibrariaBaasil Wilder will lead off the workshop by reading  Maybe Something Beautiful by
F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell.  This delightful children's book tells the story of how art transformed a neighborhood as witnessed through the eyes of a very observant little girl.
