Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jordon Dixon grew up in a very musical family. He started his musical path at the age of 12. By the age of 15 he was sitting in at local bars and clubs, while continuously honing his raw talent. In the summer of 2002 at the age of 19, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a Marine Musician. After 11 years of honorable service to the United States, he moved to the Washington D.C. area to play and study music with some of the best musicians and instructors in the world, and here is where he currently resides. In April of 2016, Jordon released his debut album, “A Conversation Among Friends” and was honored by the Washington City Paper as the “Best Tenor Saxophonist of 2016”. Just one month after his album release, Jordon earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of the District of Columbia. Jordon Dixon continues to stay hungry, humble and disciplined in his musical quest.
