Explore themes of democracy, social justice and freedom in this creative writing workshop that draws from the Portrait Gallery’s ongoing exhibition “The Struggle for Justice.” Through reading, discussion and guided writing exercises you will reflect on what it means to fight for something you believe in. Images of activists and leaders from American social justice movements will provide further inspiration for your blended essay. Open to writers of all levels (18+).
