Making use of narrative structure when writing about true events brings your reader into your tale. The more you know about how fiction works and where those techniques can be applied to your factual material, the better able you are to create a nuanced story that keeps your reader's attention. In this 10-week class, we'll study narrative, write pieces of our own, critique each other's work, and learn about the ins and outs of writing narrative nonfiction. Those without a current work in progress will complete exercises or begin work on a story they have in mind. Those with a work in progress are encouraged to use this workshop to complete that work.
