Historian and author Derek Musgrove (pictured), explores the role that forms of displacement west of the Anacostia River, namely urban renewal and gentrification, played in creating the late 20th century idea of a poor black community "East of the River." This program is being presented in partnership with D.C Public Library, and in conjunction with the exhibition "A Right To The City."
