Through characteristic National Geographic imagery and intimate character studies, Last Wild Places brings you hopeful stories of conservation from around the world. In Malawi, dedicated park rangers reintroduce cheetahs to forests once devoid of wildlife, while on the prairies of Montana the return of bison spurs the revival of both the ecosystem and local indigenous culture. In Argentina, scientists work to rewild the wetlands of Iberá National Park, while empowered women in Mozambique are helping Gorongosa recover after a brutal civil war. This film showcases the spectacular spaces and inspiring people at the heart of large landscape conservation in the 21st century.
