Grand Finales-Entering 7th and 8th Grade (Fall of 2020)

Classes will be taught by The Theatre Lab’s award-winning faculty members—professional artists with years of youth education experience. And we've even added some artists who are especially adept at creating on the online platform (check out close-up magic and stage combat!). There will be hands-on activities like prop, costume, and set design; theatre games and social time; and an abundance of movement, dance, and physical activities to keep kids active during this unusual summer.

How Classes are Structured

Each class module is one hour in length, which includes 50 minutes of teaching and creating time, and 10 minutes of winding down, chatting with the teacher, sharing artwork created, etc. The last 10 minutes of each class is optional for students and no new content will be introduced. That way, if your camper wants to take a quick bathroom break or get a snack, they won't feel pressured to race from one class to another. If, however, they want to keep creating with the teacher, they can do that, too!

Classes meet at 10am, 11am, 1pm, and 2pm. We're even providing a free "virtual lunchroom" where students can hang out with a teacher and friends from 1pm-2pm if they want (totally optional). Campers who have class before and after lunch can stay "logged on," making it easier for parents who may prefer to sign on only once during the day rather than multiple times.
