An intensive course devoted to acting for film and television, specially adapted for distance learning. The class will include audition techniques, the role of commercial spokesperson, specifics of industrial film work, and techniques for approaching film and television scripts. Material will include monologues and scenes in which scene partners are off camera. All class work will be filmed as it might be on a real set and then critiqued. (Formerly known as Intro to Acting for the Camera)

Online Class: Our Early Fall 2020 adult semester will take place entirely online via Zoom. Classes require live participation at the scheduled times using your own device. Zoom is most effective when used on a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet. Students using a cellphone to access class are likely to experience reduced functionality that may limit their ability to participate fully in class. Please review the technical requirements necessary to take part in an online class before enrolling.
