An exploration of the many aspects of playwriting including characterization, dialogue, the unspoken word, stage directions, plot, the playwright-director relationship, script formats, and marketing. All students develop a ten–minute play which receives a reading during the final class meeting. Recommended for acting as well as playwriting students. This class is not designed to be taken on a cellphone.

Online Class: Our Early Fall 2020 adult semester will take place entirely online via Zoom. Classes require live participation at the scheduled times using your own device. Zoom is most effective when used on a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet. Students using a cellphone to access class are likely to experience reduced functionality that may limit their ability to participate fully in class. Please review the technical requirements necessary to take part in an online class before enrolling.
